| Reverse description | The bronzital centre presents a detailed high-relief depiction of the Cesta (Second Tower), the medieval fortified tower perched atop a rugged rocky promontory on Monte Titano, with crenellated walls and ancillary fortifications extending across the outcrop. The mint mark R (Rome Mint) appears in the lower left of the inner field. The acmonital outer ring bears the date 1988 at the top, interrupted by stylised battlements, and the denomination L. 500 prominently displayed along the lower arc of the ring. |
