| 背面描述 | A bold, slightly left-facing bust portrait of Czech poet and folklorist Karel Jaromír Erben dominates the field, depicting him with wavy hair, a moustache, and characteristic wire-rimmed spectacles, rendered in high sculptural relief. His attire features a necktie and period coat collar, faithfully evoking nineteenth-century dress. The legend KAREL JAROMÍR ERBEN arcs along the lower left periphery, while the birth year 1811 appears at the upper left and the bicentenary year 2011 at the upper right. The engraver's mark is visible in the right field near the shoulder. |

Karel Jaromír Erben was commemorated on this issue in the bicentennial year of his birth — he was born in 1811 in Miletín, Bohemia. A archivist by profession and a poet by vocation, Erben spent decades collecting Slavic folk songs and fairy tales, work that culminated in his 1853 poetry collection Kytice, which remains a fixture of Czech literary education. The Czech National Bank's commemorative program has a long habit of honoring figures whose cultural weight is unambiguous even if their international profile is modest.
