Obverse description The central field displays the bold denomination '50' above the legend 'SCHILLING', surrounded by a radiating arrangement of nine heraldic shields representing the Austrian federal states. The circular outer legend reads '· REPUBLIK · ÖSTERREICH', distributed evenly around the rim in raised Latin capitals. The shields, rendered in fine relief, fan outward from the denomination in a symmetrical and decorative composition typical of Austrian commemorative coinage of this era.
