Obverse description The Indian State Emblem — the Lion Capital of Ashoka, depicting three lions passant on an abacus adorned with a central Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse in relief — is prominently displayed in the upper centre of the field. The large numeral '50' appears in the lower centre, with the denomination legend 'RUPEES' to its right in Latin script. The circular legend reads 'भारत' (Bharat) in Devanagari script to the left and 'INDIA' in Latin script to the right, with 'रुपये' (Rupaye) completing the denomination inscription in Devanagari at the lower left. The design is rendered in a clean, modern relief characteristic of Indian commemorative coinage of the period.
