Obverse description Central device depicts a spread-winged vulture with wings outstretched, rendered in the ancient Egyptian style, occupying the center of the field. The denomination '50' and 'LE' appear to the left, with their Arabic-numeral equivalents '٥٠' and 'م' to the right. The Arabic legend of the Arab Republic of Egypt is inscribed above the vulture, with the acronym 'A·R·E' below it. Dual dates are shown in the lower field: the Hijri year '1414' and '١٤١٤' on the left, and the Gregorian year '1993' and '١٩٩٣' on the right. The mint mark 'E / CC' appears at the base, and a toothed border runs around the entire circumference.
