Obverse description Central device depicts a stylized Egyptian vulture with wings fully spread, rendered in the manner of ancient Egyptian relief art, occupying the lower half of the field. Above the vulture, the Arabic legend جمهورية مصر العربية (Arab Republic of Egypt) is inscribed in two lines, flanked to the upper field by a lotus flower ornament. The denomination 50 LE appears to the left and ٥٠ جـ to the right, with dual-calendar dates 1415 / 1994 and ١٤١٥ / ١٩٩٤ positioned along the left and right periphery respectively. The abbreviation A·R·E is inscribed across the body of the vulture, and the mint mark E / CC appears in the lower exergue.
