Obverse description Purple on multicolour underprint. A central intaglio vignette portrays an ox cart loaded with harvested cane, set within a large circular guilloche frame against a lightly tinted sky. The denomination "CINCUENTA PESOS ORO" appears in bold lettering at lower centre and at left, with the numeral 50 repeated at all four corners; the bank's circular seal inscribed "SANTO DOMINGO DISTRITO NACIONAL REPUBLICA DOMINICANA" is positioned at right, flanked by two facsimile signatures — "Gobernador del Banco Central" at lower left and "Secretario de Estado de Finanzas" at lower right.

Reverse description Printed entirely in purple. A classical Liberty head in left profile, laureate with the word "LIBERTAD" on the diadem, is set within an ornate circular medallion at left; the Dominican Coat of Arms, inscribed "DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD" above and "REPUBLICA DOMINICANA" below, occupies a matching medallion at right. The centre field is filled with an intricate microtext guilloche pattern bearing repeated "MINI" and "PUBLI" legends, with the word "CINCUENTA" rendered in large outlined letters across it; the denomination "CINCUENTA PESOS ORO" appears in a solid panel at lower centre, and the printer's imprint "THOMAS DE LA RUE & CO. LTD." is present at the bottom margin.
