| Obverse description | Purple on multicolour underprint. A central intaglio vignette portrays an ox cart loaded with harvested cane, set within a large circular guilloche frame against a lightly tinted sky. A classical Liberty head in left profile, laureate with the word "LIBERTAD" on the diadem, is set within an ornate circular medallion at left; the Dominican Coat of Arms, inscribed "DIOS PATRIA LIBERTAD" above and "REPUBLICA DOMINICANA" below, occupies a matching medallion at right.
