| Obverse description | Central to the obverse is a bold, high-relief depiction of a rearing Westphalian horse facing left, the traditional heraldic symbol of the province, rendered in a vigorous naturalistic style. To the left of the horse, the denomination '50 Millionen Mk.' is inscribed in Fraktur blackletter characters across three lines in the field. The surrounding legend, also in Fraktur, reads 'Notgeld der Provinz Westfalen' along the upper periphery, with the date '1923' flanked by decorative separators at the base of the coin. |
