| Obverse description | The central field carries a bold multi-line inscription stating the denomination and issuing authority, arranged in descending lines: NOT GELD flanking a small spread eagle at the top, followed by the large numeral 50, MILLIARDEN, MARK, and HEILBRONN, with the date 1923 at the base flanked by the mint-mark letters A and N. Decorative foliate scrollwork separates several of the inscription lines, lending an Art Nouveau character to the design. The entire composition is enclosed within a continuous beaded border running the full circumference of the coin. |
