Reverse description A draped female figure, symbolizing a supplicant or allegorical personification, kneels in the right-center field with her arms raised in a gesture of devotion or entreaty toward a standing robed figure of Saint Marinus positioned to the left. Three stylized triangular peaks, representing the Three Towers of San Marino, are incused in the upper field above the figures. The denomination LIRE 50 is inscribed in two lines to the right of the kneeling figure, and the engraver's name MONASSI appears in small lettering along the lower rim. The composition is executed in a refined, sculptural style characteristic of Italian commemorative coinage of the period.
