Obverse description Central design depicts an open book symbolising the Treaty of Rome, overlaid by a stylised European Union emblem rendered as an arrangement of interlocking arched segments, with the word EURÓPA inscribed on a banner across the book's cover. The circular legend MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG runs along the outer rim, interrupted at the top by the inscription 50 ÉVES and at the bottom by A RÓMAI SZERZŐDÉS, all separated by a beaded border. The date 2007 appears in the lower exergue beneath the central motif.
