Reverse description Central and right portions of the field bear a finely engraved adaptation of Dalí's iconic painting 'The Elephants' (1948), depicting surrealist elephants with impossibly elongated spindly legs carrying obelisks and architectural structures on their backs, set against a contrasting mirrored field. To the lower left, a kneeling angelic figure is rendered in relief. The denomination 50 EURO is prominently inscribed in two lines at the left of the field. The crowned Madrid mint mark (M) appears at upper left, and the legend Pintores Españoles is rendered in a facsimile script style along the upper arc of the field.
