Obverse description Central field features a highly detailed equestrian portrait after Goya's painting of Fernando VII on horseback, the armored rider holding a lance and mounted on a richly caparisoned horse depicted in a proud trotting stance. The composition is rendered in high relief with fine surface detail capturing the elaborate saddle trappings and military attire of the figure. The legend ESPAÑA arcs along the upper rim in incuse lettering. To the upper right, Goya's stylized cursive signature appears within a decorative cartouche, with the date 2010 below it in the right field.

Reverse description The reverse presents a finely engraved reproduction of Goya's celebrated painting 'Aquelarre' (The Witches' Sabbath), depicting a large horned figure of the Devil surrounded by a cowering congregation of witches and supplicants rendered in dynamic, swirling composition across the field. The scene is executed in high relief with dramatic contrast between the deeply struck figures and the mirror-like proof fields. The curved inscription PINTORES ESPAÑOLES runs along the upper left rim in italic script, while the Madrid mint mark (crowned M) appears to the lower left. The denomination 50 EURO is inscribed in large numerals and lettering to the upper right of the field.
