| Reverse description | The reverse features two stylised ancient Roman naval vessels rendered in bold, flowing relief, their curved hulls overlapping dynamically across the field in a design evoking San Marino's archaeological heritage. A small representation of the Three Towers of Monte Titano appears above the prow of the upper vessel, accompanied by the date 2008 in raised numerals. The circular legend TESORI SAMMARINESI arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 50 EURO is inscribed in two lines at the lower field, with the Rome Mint mark R positioned to the right.
