| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of Fiji as central device, flanked by two traditional Fijian warriors as supporters, each holding a ceremonial weapon. The quartered shield features a British lion passant in the chief and national emblems in the quarters, surmounted by a sailing vessel. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in Fijian. The legend 'FIJI 2021' arcs across the upper field, with '1 oz' inscribed to the left and '.999 FINE SILVER' to the right of the supporters. The denomination '50 CENTS' appears in the lower field against a dark mirrored background. |

Fiji has issued legal tender collector coins under licensing agreements with various IP holders for decades, but the Street Fighter II series — released through the Pobjoy Mint — represents one of the more direct pipelines between Japanese gaming IP and Pacific island monetary authority. Capcom's Street Fighter II, first released in arcades in 1991, became one of the highest-grossing arcade games in history and generated more licensed merchandise than almost any title of its generation.
The 50 cent face value is purely nominal. No one is spending this in Suva.
