Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, occupying the central field. The Queen is depicted wearing a diamond diadem and pearl drop earrings, with a pearl necklace visible at the décolletage. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail characteristic of the proof finish. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, while D•G•REGINA curves along the upper right, both in raised Latin lettering. A fine beaded border runs along the inner edge of the coin.
