Additional information

Mr. Tod, Beatrix Potter's fox antagonist introduced in her 1912 tale, joins a long line of Potter characters licensed for collector coinage — a program that has run in various forms since the Royal Mint's 50p series began in 2016. The Solomon Islands issues these pieces under a monetary agreement that permits commemorative coinage bearing the effigy of the British monarch, despite having no practical circulation relationship with the series.
