Comments

Floreal del Raspeig was a cooperative settlement near Alicante, one of the collectivized communities established under anarchist and socialist influence during the Spanish Civil War. Like dozens of similar localities across Republican-held territory in 1937, it issued its own fractional paper currency to address the acute shortage of small-denomination coinage — silver and copper had largely vanished from circulation, hoarded or melted down.

The Garrió Monográfico reference is incomplete, which is not unusual for these hyper-local emissions; many were documented decades after the fact from single surviving examples.
