| Obverse description | Printed in red on cream paper, the obverse is framed by an Art Nouveau border of grapevines with clusters of grapes, evoking the viticulture of the Languedoc region. To the left, a winepress vignette is rendered in fine letterpress, while to the right stands a detailed view of the domed pavilion of the Montpellier Promenade du Peyrou. The denomination 50 CENTIMES is printed in large black numerals at centre, flanked by the title inscriptions for the Treasurer and President above their respective manuscript signatures, with series and serial numbers at the foot. |
