| Obverse description | Blue letterpress on cream paper with an ornate floral and foliate border incorporating apple or fruit motifs along the top and sides. At the centre top, the crowned coat of arms of the Département de l'Eure is flanked by laurel branches, while smaller municipal arms of Andelys and Bernay appear at the left and right margins respectively; the arms of Louviers le Franc appear in a cartouche at the base. The large denomination numeral '50 CENTIMES' is printed in bold dark type at centre, overlaid by a red guilloché underprint rendering the value '0.50' in ornamental script. Two manuscript signatures appear below, those of the President and the Treasurer, with the serial number between them. |
