| 背面描述 | Central device comprises the IOC centenary logo: a stylized numeral '100' overlaid on two furled flags in the upper portion, with the five interlocking Olympic rings rendered in high relief below. The bilingual circular legend reads 'ULUSLARARASI OLİMPİYAT KOMİTESİNİN YÜZÜNCÜ YILI' in Turkish and 'CENTENARY OF THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE' in English, running around the full periphery. At the base, two small olive sprigs flank the founding and commemorative dates '1894' and '1994', inscribed on two lines in the lower field. The proof surfaces lend strong contrast between the frosted devices and mirror-polished field. |

Turkey's IOC commemoration was part of a broader wave of Olympic silver issues produced by national mints in the early 1990s, many struck to capitalise on collector demand ahead of the 1996 Atlanta Games. The Turkish State Mint, known as Darphane, had been aggressively expanding its commemorative program during this period as hard currency revenue from foreign collectors became increasingly attractive against a lira experiencing chronic double-digit inflation.
The .925 fineness is slightly below the more common .999 issues of the same period — a deliberate cost decision reflected across several Darphane silver commemoratives of the mid-1990s.
