背面描述 Central field depicts a framed Gothic-style architectural scene showing two crowned and haloed figures standing facing one another: King Saint Stephen on the left, holding a sceptre and orb, and Prince Saint Emeric on the right, bearing a lance, both rendered in a stylized medieval relief manner. The flanking arcade or portal frame reinforces the Romanesque iconographic tradition. The upper legend 'SZENT ISTVÁN KIRÁLY INTELMEI' arcs along the top periphery, while 'SZENT IMRE HERCEGHEZ' arcs along the lower periphery, both in raised Latin letters. Small decorative cross stops separate the legend segments.

附加信息

Issued to mark the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Stephen I, who received his crown from Pope Sylvester II on Christmas Day 1000 AD — or possibly January 1, 1001, a date scholars still dispute. Stephen's decision to align Hungary with Rome rather than Byzantium shaped the country's religious and political trajectory for centuries. His son Emeric, to whom he addressed his famous Libellus de institutione morum, died in a hunting accident in 1031 before he could inherit the throne, leaving the succession in crisis.
