Issued to mark the centenary of Warta Poznań, one of Poland's oldest football clubs, founded in 1912. The National Bank of Poland produced this as part of a broader series honoring Polish sporting institutions — a program that accelerated sharply after 2012, when Poland co-hosted the UEFA European Championship with Ukraine and domestic interest in football history spiked noticeably.
