Reverse description A symmetrical open wreath of oak leaves and acorns, tied at the base with a ribbon bow beneath which appears the engraver's initial mark K·G·, frames the central denomination inscription. Within the wreath, the denomination reads 5 / ZŁOT· / POL· in three lines across the field. Flanking the wreath on the left appears the fineness and weight standard notation 17 211/625 Z GRZYW· CZYST· KOL, and to the right KOL, with the date legend ROKU 1831 arranged along the lower exergual arc. Small six-pointed stars punctuate the lower border at either side of the wreath terminals. The overall composition is crisp and typographically austere, consistent with the emergency coinage aesthetic of the uprising.
