| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays a finely detailed depiction of a Sussenbornian horse (Equus sussenbornensis) in full gallop, rendered in high relief against a stylised rocky and hilly landscape with foreground vegetation. The extinct prehistoric horse is shown in left profile, with musculature and movement conveyed in an artistic, naturalistic style. The curved Cyrillic inscription «КОЛКОТОВА БАЛКА» ЛОШАДЬ ЗЮССЕНБОРНСКАЯ (Kolkotov Ravine — Sussenbornian Horse) arcs along the upper and right periphery of the field. The overall composition references the palaeontological significance of the Kolkotov ravine site in Transnistria, where fossil remains of this species were discovered. The field is mirror-polished with a frosted motif in proof-like execution. |
