| 背面描述 | The reverse field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in bold calligraphic script, identifying the Bey of Tunis, Muhammad al-Sadiq, along with the mint city Tunis and the Islamic AH date at the base of the coin. The denomination of 5 Rials is incorporated within the legend. The inscription is enclosed within a plain inner border and a continuous toothed (milled) outer border, consistent with the obverse treatment. |

Tunisia's Husainid beys occupied a peculiar constitutional position in the 1870s — nominally Ottoman vassals, yet issuing coinage under dual-name conventions that acknowledged both the reigning bey and the sultan in Istanbul. This piece names Muhammad III ibn al-Husayn's successor Abdulaziz, the Ottoman sultan deposed and found dead in 1876 under circumstances that remain disputed. The narrow dating window closes just before that crisis.
