| Obverse description | Central field bears the large Arabic numeral '٥' (5) above the denomination 'قروش' (Qirsh/Piastres) in bold calligraphic script. The circular legend 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt) arcs around the upper periphery in flowing Arabic script.
