Obverse description Central field features an ornate Kufic calligraphic inscription of the country name arranged in an interlaced, decorative composition, flanked by two small circular medallions containing additional Arabic script. A stylised floral or torch-like device rises from the top of the calligraphic panel. Below the central device, dual dates are inscribed in Eastern Arabic-Indic numerals (١٤٠٥) and Western Arabic numerals (1985), presented on two lines across the lower field.
