| 裏面の説明 | A highly detailed, sculptural depiction of the three Great Pyramids of Giza fills the central field, rendered in high relief with carefully engraved stonework conveying the massive limestone courses of the ancient monuments. The pyramids are shown in a three-quarter perspective against a smooth, mirror-polished background field, with undulating desert sands depicted in the lower foreground. The design is contained within a broad decorative border of alternating raised rectangular and rounded link elements forming an ornamental inner ring. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse. |

Egypt's silver commemorative program expanded aggressively in the early 1990s, producing a series of issues aimed squarely at the international collector market rather than domestic circulation. This piece was never intended to pass through Egyptian hands as currency — the face value was nominal, the mintage controlled, and distribution handled largely through overseas dealers and government sales channels.
The Pyramids of Giza survived intact through roughly 4,500 years only to become one of the most heavily minted motifs in modern commemorative coinage worldwide. Egypt's own issues from this period remain modestly collected at best.
