To the left of the ship a radiant sun motif is visible, while to the right a grain stalk or crane element frames the composition. A laurel branch curves along the right side of the inner field. The commemorative Arabic legend encircles the left and lower portions of the design within the inner border, recording the date December 1980 and the third anniversary of the reopening of the Suez Canal. |
