| Description du revers | The central design depicts a stylised scene of the Suez Canal, dominated by a large merchant vessel with tall masts sailing through the waterway, rendered in bold relief. To the left of the ship a radiant sun motif is visible, while to the right a grain stalk or crane element frames the composition. A laurel branch curves along the right side of the inner field. The commemorative Arabic legend encircles the left and lower portions of the design within the inner border, recording the date December 1980 and the third anniversary of the reopening of the Suez Canal. |
