| 正面描述 | Central field features the Eagle of Saladin with outspread wings, facing forward, flanked by the denomination numerals '5' and 'LE' to the left and '٥' in Arabic-Eastern numerals to the right. Above the eagle, a two-line Arabic legend reading 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt) is surmounted by a stylized lotus flower motif. The abbreviation 'A·R·E' appears across the eagle's body. Dual dating in both Western and Arabic-Eastern numerals — '1993' and '١٩٩٣', '1414' and '١٤١٤' — flanks the eagle vertically on either side. The mint mark 'E' over 'CC' appears in the lower exergue, and the coin is bordered by a segmented decorative rim. |

Egypt's commemorative silver program of the early 1990s produced a cluttered series of issues, many of which were struck in large quantities for the collector market with little connection to genuine monetary policy. This particular piece targets the international bullion-adjacent collector trade that expanded sharply after Egypt liberalized its foreign exchange controls in 1991.
KM#741 is well-documented in Krause but mintage figures for the series are inconsistently reported across sources.
