Obverse description The bank name arches across the top in letterpress, with dual serial numbers in the upper field and BELFAST inscribed along the lower margin. A vignette at top centre depicts a sailing ship alongside a dock crane, enclosed within ornate scrollwork borders. The word FIVE appears in large bold green guilloche lettering across the centre, overlaid on a fine lathe-work underprint.
