| Obverse description | A decorative tughra of the Arab Republic of Egypt occupies the upper portion of the field, flanked on either side by the dual dates in Arabic-Eastern numerals (١٤١١) and Western numerals (1991). Below the tughra, a three-line Latin legend reads 'Islamic development bank / fifteenth annual meeting / of the board of governors', occupying the central field. The large Arabic-Eastern numeral '٥' (five) appears prominently in the lower field, with the Arabic denomination 'جنيهات' inscribed beneath it.
