| Obverse description | Central device features an elaborate calligraphic composition in the Arabic thuluth script, depicting the name of the Arab Republic of Egypt rendered in interlaced decorative lettering that fills the central field. Above the calligraphy, a stylized minaret or torch motif rises prominently, flanked on either side by two circular cartouches containing additional Arabic inscriptions. The lower portion of the field carries the dual date in Arabic-Eastern numerals, reading ١٤١٥–١٩٩٤ (AH 1415 – AD 1994). The entire design is enclosed within a dentilated inner border with a plain rim. |
