| Aversbeschreibung | Central device depicts the Eagle of Saladin with wings spread wide, facing forward, rendered in a stylized heraldic manner. The Arabic legend جمهورية مصر العربية (Arab Republic of Egypt) appears in two lines above the eagle, surmounted by a decorative lotus motif at the top of the field. The abbreviation A·R·E is inscribed in the central field above the eagle. The denomination 5 LE in Latin numerals and script appears to the left, with the equivalent Arabic numeral ٥ and Arabic script to the right. Dual dates are shown on both sides in the lower field: 1415 / 1994 in Latin numerals to the left and ١٤١٥ / ١٩٩٤ in Eastern Arabic numerals to the right, corresponding to the Hijri and Gregorian calendars respectively. Mint marks E and CC appear in the exergue below the eagle. |

This issue belongs to Egypt's series of silver commemoratives produced through the 1990s documenting ancient artifacts and iconography from the pharaonic period. The archer-in-chariot motif draws directly from the military imagery associated with New Kingdom warfare, particularly the chariot tactics that defined Egyptian campaigns against the Hittites at Kadesh in 1274 BC — a battle Ramesses II subsequently celebrated in temple reliefs across Luxor, Abu Simbel, and the Ramesseum.
KM#784 was struck at the Egyptian Mint in Abbasia, Cairo.
