Reverse description The reverse presents a large, highly detailed rendition of the Hathor amulet, depicted as the frontal face of the goddess Hathor in the ancient Egyptian artistic tradition. The goddess is shown with a serene, idealized countenance, framed by a tripartite wig with finely engraved parallel striations falling to either side. Characteristic cow-ear elements flank the wig at mid-height, a hallmark of Hathor's iconography. A flat, trapezoidal crown or headdress surmounts the head. The amulet effigy occupies nearly the full flan, rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, with the same decorative dashed border present at the rim.
