Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse is printed in shades of purple, red, and green on a light guilloche underprint. To the right, an intaglio portrait of Queen Elizabeth II faces left, wearing a tiara and pearl necklace. At centre-left, the Manx triskelion appears within a circular guilloche vignette surrounded by the motto QUOCUNQUE JECERIS STABIT, with the £5 denomination numeral to the upper-left and lower-right; the title ISLE OF MAN GOVERNMENT and the promise-to-pay clause are inscribed at the top.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse is printed in brown and features a large intaglio vignette of Castle Rushen, Castletown, rendered in fine line engraving with detailed stonework and towers against an open sky. The design is framed by an elaborate Celtic knotwork border running the full perimeter of the note. The denomination FIVE POUNDS is inscribed at the top centre, with the numeral 5 at lower left within an ornamental cartouche, and a caption identifying the castle is printed below the vignette.
