| Beschrijving keerzijde | Printed in warm orange-brown tones, the reverse is dominated by a large central arabesque vignette of interlaced scrollwork incorporating a prominent numeral 5 in script. Four corner medallions carry guilloche rosettes with FIVE / 5 inscriptions, and an elaborate engine-turned lathe-work border frames the entire design. The lower panel bears the denomination legend FIVE POUNDS in a plain letterpress band, while two diagonal violet handstamp overprints reading CANCELLED cross the face of the note. |
