| Obverse description | Typeset in black letterpress on a grey guilloche underprint, the obverse is dominated by a central oval cartouche bearing the large numeral '5' flanked by ornamental diamond panels. The heading inscription of the III. Armeekorps prisoner-of-war camp inspectorate is set across the top within a decorative border frame. Two facsimile signatures of the Inspekteur (Waldhausen) and the Adjutant appear below the cartouche, alongside the issue date and the designation of the note as a means of payment for prisoners of war. |
