| Obverse description | Central field features the elaborately interlaced royal cypher of Oscar II, composed of the monogram 'O II' rendered in large ornate letters with fine horizontal line detailing, surmounted by a large royal crown with beaded arches and orb finial. A decorative scroll cartouche appears beneath the monogram, with the Stockholm mint mark displayed at the very base of the design. The legend 'BRÖDRAFOLKENS VÄL' (The welfare of the brother peoples) curves along the upper periphery in large, well-spaced Latin capital letters within a raised rim. |
