Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maurice Tiberius facing right, rendered in the late antique Byzantine style with abbreviated imperial regalia. The portrait, though worn and struck on an irregular flan, retains the characteristic stiff frontality transitioning to a profile presentation typical of late 6th-century Byzantine coinage. The obverse legend, partially visible due to flan irregularity, reads DN TIBER PP AV, identifying the emperor with his Augustan title.
