| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial tradition. The emperor wears a pearl diadem and military cuirass, with drapery visible at the shoulder. The effigy is depicted in relatively high relief for a small bronze denomination, consistent with early Justinianic coinage from Constantinople. The encircling legend in Latin reads D N IVSTINIANVS P P AVG, disposed around the bust within the coin's irregular flan. |
