| Beschrijving voorzijde | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial style characteristic of early Byzantine coinage. The effigy displays a pearl diadem and layered military dress, with drapery folds visible across the shoulder and chest. A partial legend runs along the outer border of the flan, though much of the inscription is weakly struck or falls off the irregular flan edge. The portrait is executed in low relief, typical of the small-module pentanummium series struck at Constantinople during the reign of Justinian I. |
