| Beschrijving keerzijde | Large Greek numeral Ε (epsilon), denoting the denomination of 5 nummi, prominently displayed in the center of the reverse field within a dotted border. To the right of the Ε appears the mint mark K, identifying the Cyzicus mint. The design is bold and simply executed, with the large denomination mark occupying most of the available flan. The field surrounding the letter is plain, and the irregular flan edges, typical of hammered Byzantine minor coinage, are clearly visible. The reverse composition follows the standard Byzantine pentanummium type established from the reign of Anastasius I onward. |
