Obverse description Bare-headed, bearded effigy of King Oscar II facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and full beard characteristic of late 19th-century portraiture. The truncation is plain. The circular legend reads OSCAR II SVERIGES OCH NORGES KONUNG (Oscar II, King of Sweden and Norway), flanking the portrait along the upper periphery. The date 1901 appears at the bottom of the field, flanked by two small six-pointed stars, with the engraver's initials LA positioned to the left. A continuous beaded border encircles the entire design.
