| Obverse description | The Small National Emblem of Ukraine (trident) is displayed at the top, accompanied by the semicircular Cyrillic legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine). The central field features a stylized compositional design in which Sholem Aleichem's personal signet appears against a background of open book pages, accompanied by a fragmentary cartoon motif referencing his literary work positioned to the right.
