His right hand is raised pensively to his chin. The Cyrillic legend ОЛЕКСА НОВАКІВСЬКИЙ curves along the upper periphery of the field, while the artist's birth and death years, 1872 and 1935, are inscribed in two lines to the lower left of the portrait. |
