| Obverse description | The brass centre features a central composition commemorating Khmelnytskyi Oblast, incorporating the atom-for-peace symbol at its base, above which rises an image of Starokostiantyniv Castle flanked by the St. Nicholas Church of Medzhybizh Fortress to the right and a decorative bouquet of agricultural motifs — sunflowers, grain, corn, and a harvester — to the left. The issue year 2017 appears within the central field. The copper-nickel ring bears the circular legend НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ above and П'ЯТЬ ГРИВЕНЬ below, with the mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works positioned to the right.
