| 正面描述 | Central field features a stylized depiction of the Cathedral of Pietermaai (Willemstad), rendered in outline form with its characteristic twin towers and Gothic facade. The large denomination numeral '5G' appears prominently in the lower centre of the field. The legend 'NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN' arcs along the upper left border, while '50 aña Hubileo di Oro' runs vertically along the right border. The date '2008' is inscribed below the cathedral motif, accompanied by the mint mark of the Royal Dutch Mint. |

Willemstad's historic inner city, along with the natural harbour of the Sint Annabaai, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 — the occasion this coin commemorates. The Bishopric itself was established in 1958, making the diocese one of the younger Catholic ecclesiastical structures in the Caribbean. The Nederlandse Antillen were dissolved as a constituent country in 2010, just two years after this issue, rendering the Bank van de Nederlandse Antillen effectively defunct shortly thereafter.
